Bookings (Cal.com)

Connect Cal.com and your assistant can show real free times and book them, without the visitor leaving the chat. Cal.com handles your calendars, working hours, buffers and confirmation emails; PageClerk handles the conversation. Bookings are available on every paid plan.

  1. In Cal.com, create an event type for each kind of booking you take. For example, a 30-minute Discovery call for bigger projects, and a full-day Day booking for short engagements.
  2. In Cal.com, go to Settings → Developer → API keys and create a key.
  3. In PageClerk, open your chatbot, go to Integrations, paste the key and click Connect.
  4. Tick the event types the assistant may offer, and add a note on when to use each, e.g. “Projects longer than a week: book a discovery call first”. The assistant uses these notes to pick the right one.
  5. Turn on Let the assistant book and save.

The key is stored encrypted and never shown again. Times are shown in the visitor’s own time zone (from their browser), so an international client never has to convert. Your Cal.com time zone is used if the browser doesn’t share one.

  • Visitor: “Could you help our team for two days next month?”
  • The assistant checks your availability for Day booking and offers a few free dates.
  • The visitor picks two dates and gives their name and email.
  • The assistant books both in one go (up to five at a time); each is a separate booking in Cal.com. Cal.com sends both of you a confirmation, as with any Cal.com booking.

The assistant never invents times: it always checks availability first. It only books after the visitor has confirmed a time and given their name and email, and every booking passes the same safety check as other functions.

  • Each booking appears in Leads with a Booked badge, the event type, time and the visitor’s notes.
  • It also sends the new_lead webhook and a booking_created webhook with the booking details, so n8n, Zapier, Make or HighLevel can pick it up.
  • In Chats, the reply shows the availability check or booking, and the result.
  • Paid event types (deposits or fees via Cal.com’s Stripe app): Cal.com’s API can’t take payments, so the assistant shares a link to your Cal.com booking page, opened on the chosen day with the visitor’s name and email filled in. The visitor picks the time and pays there; nothing is booked until they do. Once they’ve paid, Cal.com tells PageClerk and the booking appears in Leads, marked Paid on Cal.com, linked to the chat (and sends the same webhooks), as long as they paid within 7 days using the email they gave in the chat. PageClerk sets this up automatically when you connect; if you connected before 13 October 2026, click Refresh once.
  • Event types with required custom booking questions can’t be booked from the chat yet. The assistant offers another option instead.
  • To change what’s offered, tick or untick event types and save. Click Refresh after adding event types in Cal.com.
  • Disconnect deletes the stored key. Existing bookings stay in Cal.com.
